Romark Logistics Joins U.S. EPA SmartWay® Transport Partnership

Westfield, N.J. – Romark Logistics has joined the SmartWay® Transport Partnership, a collaboration between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry to enhance the environmental and energy efficiency of goods movement supply chains.

By joining SmartWay, Romark Logistics will contribute to the Partnership’s significant environmental impact savings of 379 million barrels of oil, $52 billion on fuel costs, 162 million metric tons of CO2, 2.8 million short tons of NOx, and 114,000 short tons of PM. This is equivalent to eliminating annual energy use in over 24 million homes.

Additionally, we are partnering with our suppliers to implement the latest solar and energy management technologies to drive carbon emission out of our supply chain.”

The SmartWay program, launched in 2004, helps partners track and reduce emissions and fuel use from goods movement. The Partnership currently includes nearly 4,000 partners, encompassing shippers, logistics companies, trucks, rail, barge, and multimodal carriers.
